Matar Ndiaga Seck arrested in Sénégal over alleged acts against nature

Matar Ndiaga Seck, a figure closely associated with Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, has been taken into custody by the Division of Criminal Investigations (DIC). This arrest was executed following a search warrant issued by the police station in Linguère.

The detention is linked to a wider investigation involving the apprehension of 22 individuals in the Djoloff region for suspected homosexual activities. Law enforcement officials have justified the move by pointing to “consistent evidence” that allegedly connects Seck to this case involving acts against nature.
