Tchad lauds Algeria’s leadership in continental cooperation efforts

The Tchad Prime Minister, Mr Allamaye Halina, welcomed Mr Abdelkader Djellaoui, Algeria’s Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, in N’Djamena on Thursday. During the meeting, the Tchadien head of government praised President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s dedication to fostering bilateral cooperation and his influential role across Africa.

The communiqué issued by the Tchadien ministry highlighted the Prime Minister’s remarks, emphasizing « the wisdom demonstrated by President Tebboune, his leadership on the continental stage, and his relentless efforts to deepen cooperation and integration between our two brotherly nations. » The statement also underscored Tchad’s appreciation for Algeria’s commitment to African development and solidarity.

Mr Halina conveyed cordial greetings from Tchad’s President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno to President Tebboune, symbolizing the deep historical ties, fraternity, and solidarity uniting the two peoples and nations.

Additionally, the Prime Minister extended fraternal salutations to Algeria’s Prime Minister, Mr Sifi Ghrieb, reaffirming Tchad’s determination to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand the scope of partnership with Algeria.

The Algerian delegation present during the audience included high-ranking officials such as the Director-General of Algeria’s Agency for International Cooperation in Solidarity and Development, Mr Abed Hallouz, the Algerian Ambassador to Tchad, a senior official from the Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, alongside the CEOs of Cosider Travaux Publics and the National Public Works Company (Entp). The meeting concluded the two-day working visit of Mr Djellaoui to Tchad.
