Chad bahamas strengthen diplomatic ties with joint agreement
Chad and the Commonwealth of The Bahamas have formally established diplomatic relations through a joint communiqué signed in New York, as confirmed by Chadian authorities.
The agreement was signed on July 16 by Chad’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Mouctar Abakar, and his Bahamian counterpart, Stan James.
Commitments to sovereign cooperation
In the communiqué, both nations pledged to foster cooperation and friendship based on fundamental principles such as sovereign equality, mutual respect for independence, territorial integrity, and non-interference in domestic affairs.
