Côte d’Ivoire launches GUDIP to streamline private investment tracking

The Côte d’Ivoire Investment Promotion Centre (CEPICI) has unveiled the Single Window for Private Investment Declarations (GUDIP) in Abidjan, a groundbreaking initiative designed to enhance governance in private sector investments.

The platform, developed in partnership with the Directorate General of Economy and supported by the PACA-CI Programme (financed by the African Development Bank), will centralize, monitor, and analyze data on private investments across the country.

Transforming investment governance with real-time insights

GUDIP addresses persistent challenges such as fragmented information, weak project traceability, and low conversion rates of investment intentions into tangible outcomes. By providing reliable, up-to-date data, the tool empowers policymakers to refine public policies, measure private sector contributions to economic growth, job creation, and structural transformation.

Solange Amichia, CEPICI’s Director-General, emphasized the platform’s role as a public governance instrument, stating it will enable more precise decision-making and better evaluation of the private sector’s impact on national development.

Collaborative rollout across sectors

During the national launch workshop, attended by public agencies, technical partners, and private sector representatives, Ms. Amichia urged all stakeholders to actively engage in GUDIP’s deployment. This includes sharing data and appointing focal points to ensure seamless integration across institutions.

Future milestones and long-term impact

The phased deployment of GUDIP, scheduled between Q3 2026 and Q1 2027, represents a major leap in modernizing Côte d’Ivoire’s investment ecosystem. By improving data quality and project oversight, CEPICI aims to strengthen its role as a key partner to the government in mobilizing investments critical to the 2026-2030 National Development Plan (NDP).
