Young people in Lake region support security forces against boko haram
On a recent Sunday afternoon in Baga-Sola, the youth of the Lake region demonstrated their solidarity with the Defence and Security Forces (FDS), who are actively combating the Boko Haram insurgency. The initiative was spearheaded by the Coordination of Youth Associations of the Lake (CADELAC), bringing together local leaders and community members in a unified show of support.
Honoring sacrifices and reaffirming commitment
The coordinator of CADELAC, Mahamat Adam Moustapha, addressed the gathering, first extending heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the recent attacks in Barka Tollorom. He then praised the FDS for their unwavering dedication in safeguarding peace and security across the Lake region. His remarks underscored the youth’s resolve to remain vigilant and actively participate in community-driven efforts to counter extremist threats.
A modest yet meaningful gesture of support
In a symbolic display of appreciation, the CADELAC presented the FDS with essential food supplies, including five 50 kg bags of rice and ten boxes of pasta. Speaking on behalf of the youth, Mahamat Adam Moustapha emphasized that this donation reflects the resilience and determination of local young people to stand alongside the security forces in their mission to restore stability in the region.
