Morocco seeks $26 billion funding for trans-african gas pipeline from Nigeria
The Kingdom of Morocco is accelerating efforts to secure the financial backing required for the Atlantic African Gas Pipeline (AAGP), a landmark project developed in collaboration with Nigeria. Rabat has formally requested $26 billion in funding from two major international institutions: the United States Export-Import Bank (US Exim Bank) and the World Bank, according to statements made by Morocco’s Ambassador to the United States, Youssef Amrani.
