Chadian peace advocate urges honest dialogue to resolve national tensions

Emmanuel Nadingar, president of the Universal Peace Federation’s Chad chapter, convened a press briefing on May 23 at the Sabangali headquarters in N’Djaména’s third arrondissement.

Addressing journalists, the former Prime Minister framed the event as a call for peace amid escalating global conflicts and Chad’s own socio-political challenges.

Nadingar highlighted how violent disputes over resources worldwide often push communities to regroup and harden their positions. Within Chad, he observed that “significant developments have unfolded,” though he refrained from elaborating further.

To counter these pressures, he urged all Chadians to reject “tribalism, isolationism, and acts of aggression.” His solution lies in fostering genuine dialogue and mutual listening, stressing that “unity among our people is the foundation for overcoming the obstacles before us.”

The Universal Peace Federation, an international NGO established in 2005, operates in over 190 countries.
