Cameroon’s Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè, held talks in N’Djamena with Chadian Prime Minister Allamaye Halina on May 13, 2026. The meeting focused on trade corridor efficiency between Douala and N’Djamena, addressing key challenges faced by transporters.

The high-level discussions followed the Tripartite Forum between Chad, Cameroon, and the Central African Republic. The Chadian Prime Minister hosted the Cameroonian delegation, which included the Minister of Transport and representatives from the Douala Port Authority, the Chadian Shippers’ Council, and the Central African Shippers’ Council.

Both parties reviewed progress on transport sector cooperation. Key topics included outcomes from the N’Djamena Forum, evaluations of recommendations from the 2024 Kribi edition, the status of the CamTchad project, and challenges faced by transporters along the Douala-N’Djamena corridor.

Cameroon’s Transport Minister reaffirmed his country’s commitment to enhancing trade flow efficiency to Chad. The Chadian Prime Minister assured that Cameroonian drivers and motorcyclists detained in Chad would receive favorable resolutions. He also highlighted ongoing roadblocks that continue to disrupt goods transportation along the corridor and tasked the Cameroonian minister to relay these concerns to national authorities.
