Burkina Faso Dominates U18 and U20 Athletics Championships
The young athletes of Burkina Faso have impressed with outstanding performances at the recent U18 and U20 Athletics Championships in the five-nation tournament.
With a total of 67 medals, including 27 gold, 30 silver, and 10 bronze, Burkina Faso took top spot ahead of Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Togo.
Zalissa Zongo was one of the standout athletes, winning nearly six gold medals and setting a national record in the triple jump with 13.33 meters.
'I hope to reach 14.01 meters soon,' she said, expressing her ambition to compete at the Youth Olympics in Dakar and the Junior World Championships in Eugene.
