Psg officially announces first major summer transfer, gonçalo ramos joins ac milan

Expected to be very active this summer, Paris Saint-Germain has just made its first big move official. Gonçalo Ramos is leaving the capital club after three seasons. The Portuguese striker has signed with AC Milan until 2031.

This summer, PSG will undergo some significant changes in its squad. Luis Enrique clearly wants to rejuvenate a group that has won the Champions League two years in a row. And while behind the scenes things seem to be heating up, the first big transfer of the window has just been made official with the signing of Gonçalo Ramos at AC Milan.

Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan: it’s official

Indeed, through an official statement, PSG has just confirmed this transfer: “After three seasons with Paris Saint-Germain and no fewer than 12 trophies won, including two consecutive Champions League titles, Gonçalo Ramos joins AC Milan on a permanent transfer.” Immediately after, the Italian club confirmed the news, giving details about the length of Gonçalo Ramos‘s contract: “AC Milan announces the signing of Gonçalo Matias Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain FC. The Portuguese forward has signed a contract with the Club until June 30, 2031.”

One of the biggest sales in PSG history

The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but Fabrizio Romano reports that AC Milan will pay €74M, with bonuses potentially increasing the total to €80M. This is the most expensive transfer ever made by the Rossoneri and also the second-largest sale in PSG‘s history. The €90M paid by Al-Hilal in 2023 for Neymar remains the record for a Parisian club sale, but Gonçalo Ramos sits just behind, ahead of Manuel Ugarte and Xavi Simons, who were both transferred for €50M to Manchester United and Tottenham respectively. PSG’s summer is now underway!
