Niger prime minister attends inauguration of solidarity power plant

Niger’s Prime Minister inaugurates ‘Solidarité’ power plant in Niamey

Niger’s Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, arrived in the Gorou Banda district of Niamey, capital of the Republic of Niger, this Wednesday to preside over the official inauguration of the ‘Solidarité’ power plant and its entry into service.

This ceremony marks a key moment in the official visit conducted by Mr. Ghrieb in Niger, as instructed by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

During this visit, the Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mr. Mourad Adjal, as well as the Director General of the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation for Solidarity and Development, Mr. Abed Halouz.

The ‘Solidarité’ power plant, a symbol of cooperation between Niger and Algeria, is set to significantly boost electricity production capacity in the region.
