Morocco prioritizes humanitarian aid in African cooperation at au peace council
Morocco has elevated humanitarian action to a cornerstone of its foreign policy and African cooperation, reflecting the forward-thinking vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as stated by Ambassador Mohamed Arrouchi during a public session of the African Union’s Peace and Security Council (CPS of the AU).
As the AU’s Champion on migration, the Kingdom has consistently integrated humanitarian support into its diplomatic engagements and collaborative efforts across Africa. Ambassador Arrouchi emphasized that Morocco remains unwavering in its commitment to address humanitarian crises, regardless of their location on the continent, by mobilizing resources and expertise to alleviate suffering.
During the CPS meeting focused on refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and humanitarian aid in Africa, the Ambassador highlighted Morocco’s proactive role in shaping sustainable solutions to pressing humanitarian challenges.
