The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) have declared a decisive shift in momentum, asserting full operational control across regions previously targeted by coordinated offensives from the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA) in the north and the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM), an Al-Qaeda affiliate, in central and southern Mali.

In a formal statement, the FAMA confirmed that intense combat operations resumed on Sunday near Anifif, a key location situated roughly 110 kilometers south of Kidal. The clashes intensified following the arrival of additional fighters and military resources dispatched to reinforce the Azawad Liberation Front’s position in the area.
