Laborex Tchad marks three decades of health service excellence

For three decades, Laborex Tchad, a subsidiary of the CFAO Healthcare group, has stood as a pillar of excellence in Chad’s pharmaceutical sector. On May 28, the company celebrated its 30th anniversary with an event that honored its pivotal role in ensuring access to high-quality medicines and medical supplies nationwide.

A legacy built on trust and reliability

Founded in 1996, Laborex Tchad has been instrumental in strengthening Chad’s healthcare system by supplying pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and health centers across major cities and remote regions alike. Its reach extends from the capital, N’Djamena, to key urban hubs such as Moundou, Sarh, Abéché, and Bongor, ensuring no community is left without essential medical resources.

Honoring partnerships and achievements

The anniversary celebration was graced by two keynote addresses. Ngarmbatina Sou IV, Chair of the Board, took the podium first, expressing deep gratitude to the Chadian authorities for their unwavering support in nurturing the company’s growth. She also acknowledged the trust placed in Laborex by financial partners, pharmacists, medical depots, hospitals, and countless clients nationwide.

“You haven’t chosen us out of routine, but because you believe in our commitment to delivering the right medication, to the right place, at the right time, for every patient in Chad,” she stated with conviction. Her words underscored the company’s mission: precision, reliability, and accessibility in healthcare.

With a reflective tone, she added, “Thirty years is just the beginning. We’re looking ahead to at least another seven decades of service.”

A tribute to human dedication

Sébastien Roux, Deputy Zone Director of CFAO Healthcare, shared his reflections on the company’s journey, tracing his own 24-year career within the group. He highlighted the enduring legacy of former leaders, including Maria Mion Calvet, and praised the vitality brought by the current CEO, Tignocqua.

“Laborex embodies the rare balance of experience and youthful dynamism, powered by its dedicated team,” he remarked. His speech also recognized the critical collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health, pharmaceutical laboratories, banking institutions, and every employee who contributes to the company’s success.

“It is your collective effort that makes reliable pharmaceutical distribution a reality across Chad,” he emphasized.

The evening concluded on a joyful note, filled with traditional balafon rhythms that resonated with the pride of three decades of service.
