Abidjan’s Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire played host to the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, a high-powered investor summit chaired by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé on July 9, 2026.

The Prime Minister framed the gathering as a pivotal moment for mobilizing private capital to drive Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious growth agenda. “This marks another decisive chapter in our investment-focused consultations, where business leaders and entrepreneurs come together to forge shared value and accelerate economic progress,” he stated. “I am particularly encouraged by the strong turnout—more than 700 investors from friendly nations have joined us to explore opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire.”

With a packed room of corporate executives, international investors, and private-sector representatives, the Head of Government emphasized the forum’s dual purpose: fostering direct dialogue with business leaders and aligning collective vision around sustainable development.

“By standing with Côte d’Ivoire, you are placing your confidence in our economic trajectory and growth potential,” he told the audience. “Your participation is instrumental in turning our shared ambition into a more competitive, job-creating economy. The success of this vision depends on your willingness to invest in its realization.”

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He highlighted the nation’s proven economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years and reaffirming its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.

“To the investors gathered here today, you are entering a market brimming with opportunity,” he declared. “Today’s sessions will spotlight priority sectors under the PND 2026-2030—including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, expansion of critical infrastructure such as transport, digital networks, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, and strategic investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that will propel a more productive and inclusive economy.”

He also pointed to the first day’s proceedings, which drew over 3,000 delegates from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, for institutional partnerships and strategy presentations.

Speaking on behalf of the investor community, Ahmed Cissé (President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises, CGECI), Mehdi Tazi (President of the Africa Committee of France’s MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled (Vice President of the International Finance Corporation) echoed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s development roadmap. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030, signaling strong international backing for the country’s growth agenda.
