In a formal ceremony held at the Palais Toumaï, the European Union’s newly appointed ambassador to Chad, Amador Sanchez Rico, presented his credentials to President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno on May 19.

The event, attended by Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, Deputy Minister in charge of African Integration and Chadians Abroad, underscored the significance of the occasion. The EU diplomat was accompanied by key delegation members: Sona Jarosova, Head of the Political Section, and Karl Rawert, Head of Cooperation for the EU Delegation in Chad.

The formal presentation of credentials marks the official commencement of Ambassador Sanchez Rico’s three-year mission in Chad, reinforcing the strengthening ties between Chad and the European Union.
