Côte d’Ivoire’s prime minister rallies investors for 2026-2030 development plan at Abidjan forum

Abidjan, July 9, 2026 – The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, was officially launched at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

« Today marks another milestone in this consultative process centered on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation, » Prime Minister Mambé stated. « Our goal is to mobilize the private sector investments essential for turning these development ambitions into reality. I’m pleased to report that we’ve welcomed over 700 investors from allied nations to this gathering. »

With business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives in strong attendance, the Head of Government emphasized that this forum serves as a vital platform for dialogue with the private sector while aligning on a shared vision for progress.

« Your commitment to this journey reflects the confidence you’ve placed in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic outlook and growth potential, » he told the audience. « You are crucial partners in realizing our ambition to build a more competitive economy and generate quality employment. Success hinges on your willingness to invest in Côte d’Ivoire’s future. »

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that despite global economic shifts, the country’s economy has demonstrated remarkable resilience, achieving an average growth rate of 6.5% in recent years—placing it among Africa’s most dynamic economies.

« This is a rapidly expanding market ready for your participation, » he declared. « Today’s sessions will accelerate investments in key PND 2026-2030 priority sectors, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, the expansion of strategic infrastructure such as transport, digital technology, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that will drive a more productive and inclusive economy. »

Mambé highlighted that the first day of the event, focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.

In a show of support, leaders from the private sector, including Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and President of the MEDEF Africa Committee, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to advance the PND 2026-2030 agenda.
