N’Djamena – World Vision Tchad has unveiled its groundbreaking 2026-2030 national strategy, signaling a transformative commitment to reach 3.29 million children across the country by the end of the decade. The comprehensive roadmap, officially launched during a high-profile press conference in N’Djamena, combines humanitarian relief, sustainable development and peacebuilding initiatives to address the most pressing needs of young lives in Chad.

Revolutionary approach targets most vulnerable children

During the launch event at N’Djamena’s Résidence Hotel, regional director for West Africa Carla Dominique Denizard characterized the strategy as “bold and visionary,” emphasizing its foundation in the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus. This integrated model seeks to bridge emergency responses with long-term development and peace initiatives, ensuring no child is left behind in Chad’s most fragile communities.

The strategy targets 3.09 million of the nation’s most vulnerable children, with comprehensive interventions spanning health, nutrition, education, child protection and climate resilience. “Every child in Chad deserves not just to survive, but to thrive,” Denizard asserted, highlighting the critical importance of strong partnerships, community engagement and cultural sensitivity in achieving these goals.

Strategic pillars align with global development frameworks

The 2026-2030 roadmap is meticulously designed to align with Chad’s Vision 2030 and the African Union’s Agenda 2063, while supporting multiple Sustainable Development Goals (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 13 and 16). Key focus areas include:

• Human capital enhancement through improved education and skill development
• Social protection systems to shield families from economic shocks
• Climate adaptation strategies to safeguard communities against environmental threats

National director Édouard Ngoy Wangoy emphasized that this strategy represents a 20% increase in ambition compared to previous cycles. “Our goal is simple yet profound: to ensure every child in Chad can not only survive but flourish,” he stated.
