Vietnamese parliamentary delegation attends apf general assembly in Yaoundé, Cameroon

The opening session of the General Assembly commenced with solemnity on July 9th in Yaoundé, Cameroon. This significant gathering brought together a distinguished assembly, including high-ranking Cameroonian officials such as the President of the Senate, the President of the National Assembly, and the President of the Economic and Social Council. Also present was Louise Mushikiwabo, the Secretary-General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), alongside various esteemed guests and over 350 delegates from across the Francophone world. The attendees included nearly 20 parliamentary presidents and vice-presidents from member parliaments of the Assemblée Parlementaire Francophone (APF), representatives from the OIF, diplomatic missions, and other international organizations.
The agenda for the 51st APF General Assembly focused on a range of critical issues spanning politics, democracy, economic development, social affairs, cultural exchange, and environmental protection. Discussions aimed at strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and fostering collaborative solutions to the common challenges confronting the Francophone community, reflecting a shared commitment to effective governance Africa and robust African politics.
