University of Lomé seals strategic partnership with Creighton University

The University of Lomé is strengthening its global footprint. On Friday, June 5, 2026, the institution signed a framework cooperation agreement with Creighton University, a Jesuit university based in Omaha, Nebraska, in the United States.

The agreement was countersigned by Professor Kossivi Hounaké, President of the University of Lomé, and Reverend Father Daniel Hendrickson, President of Creighton University. Through this partnership, both universities aim to deepen their collaboration in education, research, and knowledge exchange.

The accord provides for the implementation of joint training and research programs, as well as the promotion of student, faculty, and researcher mobility. It also opens the door to organizing conferences, seminars, and other scientific activities of mutual interest.

Both institutions also commit to sharing academic resources and developing collaborative projects. Special attention is given to protecting intellectual property and maintaining the confidentiality of information exchanged in the course of research work.

5-year agreement

Signed for an initial period of five years, renewable, this agreement offers new prospects for scientific and academic cooperation benefiting the university community.

With this new partnership, the University of Lomé continues its policy of international openness and confirms its ambition to strengthen its presence within global university networks.
