Togo’s president faure gnassingbé inspects koundjoaré security operation
On May 7, 2026, Faure Gnassingbé, President of the Council and Supreme Head of the Armed Forces of Togo, conducted a critical inspection of the Koundjoaré Operation zone in the northern part of the country. The primary objective of this high-level visit was to assess the evolving security landscape and bolster the efforts of deployed troops combating emerging terrorist threats.
During the mission, the Supreme Head of the Armed Forces participated in an operational briefing at the Command Post. He then proceeded to the forward operating base in Tchamonga, a key strategic location within the national security framework.
