Tchad: president returns after UAE diplomatic mission
Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, Chad’s head of state, landed in N’Djamena following a high-level official visit to the United Arab Emirates where he held strategic talks with the UAE president.
In the late hours of the evening, Chad’s President, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, touched down at N’Djamena’s international airport, concluding a vital diplomatic visit to the United Arab Emirates.
The Chadian leader engaged in two high-profile meetings with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first discussion took place at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, while the second occurred at the Marshal’s temporary residence during the visit.
Upon his return, Déby Itno received a formal welcome at the airport from Prime Minister Amb. Allah-Maye Halina, alongside key military and government officials. The welcoming committee included the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, several cabinet ministers, the State Minister Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Personal Chief of Staff, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Private Secretary, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.
