Morocco’s throne day in Niamey underscores robust nigerien ties

In a deeply symbolic gesture, the Kingdom of Morocco’s ambassador to Niger, joined by the Nigerien Minister of Foreign Affairs, officially inaugurated the ceremony commemorating the 27th anniversary of Throne Day. This solemn occasion served as an opportunity to review the significant achievements made by the Kingdom during the reign of King Mohammed VI.

Mohammed Iboumraten, Morocco’s ambassador in Niamey, highlighted the profound transformations Morocco has undergone. “Morocco has significantly reshaped its infrastructure, industrial landscape, geopolitical standing, and social protection frameworks,” he stated. “Key sectors such as automotive, aeronautics, agri-food, pharmaceuticals, and renewable energies have fundamentally altered the nation’s productive structure.”

The ambassador further elaborated on the foundational principles of this cooperation. “The collaboration between Morocco and Niger is built upon deep historical roots, strong bonds of solidarity, and a shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations across political, economic, security, cultural, and spiritual spheres,” he explained. “His Majesty the King’s active concern for Niger has been demonstrated through two royal visits and an unwavering dedication to fostering a balanced and mutually beneficial partnership.”
