Morocco and Colombia unite to strengthen un peace efforts
The Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Colombia have reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening collaboration between the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission and the Security Council. Their goal remains steadfast: placing peace at the core of global priorities under the UN framework.
In New York, the Moroccan Permanent Representative to the United Nations and current Chair of the UN Peacebuilding Commission, Omar Hilale, welcomed the visiting Colombian Ambassador Leonor Zalabata Torres. Ms. Zalabata Torres, who also holds the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council for June 2026, engaged in a courtesy visit to discuss joint strategies for advancing international peace and security.
Strengthening diplomatic ties for global stability
