The Kazakhstan government views the Kingdom of Morocco as a strategic partner, opening vast opportunities for expanding bilateral trade and investment, stated Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Kuantyrov during a press briefing in Rabat.

During a meeting with Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, Kuantyrov confirmed his country’s intention to import Moroccan goods directly, eliminating intermediaries to secure premium-quality products from the Kingdom.

The Kazakh delegation, led by Kuantyrov, is in Morocco to strengthen commercial and business ties. The country also aims to increase its exports of wheat, finished products, and goods to Morocco, he noted, highlighting strong political alignment between the two nations on global issues and mutual support.

For his part, Minister Mezzour emphasized the shared commitment to deepen Kazakhstan-Morocco relations. He highlighted Kazakhstan’s abundant resources—including gas, cereals, and meat—essential to Morocco’s needs.

These resources, Mezzour explained, can bolster Morocco’s food supply, support purchasing power, and ease household expenses.

Both sides reaffirmed their dedication to fostering a sustainable, direct partnership in trade and economics, prioritizing bilateral exchanges, supply security, and investment growth.
