Ivorian pm launches investor-focused session for 2026-2030 development plan
Abidjan hosts pivotal investor dialogue under Côte d’Ivoire’s 2026-2030 development framework
Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire — On July 9, 2026, the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) Consultative Group 2026–2030, dedicated to investors, was officially launched at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire. The session was led by Côte d’Ivoire’s Prime Minister, Robert Beugré Mambé, who emphasized the critical role of private investment in driving the country’s ambitious development agenda.
Robert Beugré Mambé highlighted the significance of the gathering as a platform to mobilize private capital essential for economic transformation. “This session marks a crucial step in our collective effort to attract investment, foster entrepreneurship, and generate sustainable value,” he stated. “We are pleased to welcome over 700 investors from friendly nations, all committed to shaping the future of Côte d’Ivoire’s economy.”
The Prime Minister addressed a high-profile audience of business leaders, investors, and private-sector representatives, underscoring the event as a strategic forum for aligning public and private sector visions toward shared economic goals.
“Your partnership is a testament to the trust placed in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory,” he said. “Together, we are building a more competitive and job-creating economy. The success of this vision depends on your willingness to invest in key sectors.”
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. “Côte d’Ivoire has demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability in a rapidly changing global landscape,” he noted. “With an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, our economy stands among the most dynamic on the continent.”
The Prime Minister outlined the strategic priorities for investment under the PND 2026–2030, including:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition
- Development of critical infrastructure, such as transport, digital networks, and logistics
- Investment in human capital, innovation, and essential services to boost productivity and inclusion
He recalled that the first day of the Consultative Group, focused on institutional partners and the country’s development strategy, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.
Leading private-sector voices echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), alongside Mehdi Tazi of Morocco’s General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and Mohamed Gouled of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their strong confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s development roadmap. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026–2030, signaling a robust partnership between public authorities and the private sector.
