PEEA 2026 : l’excellence académique de l’IAI-Cameroun auréolée à Paris (France)

In front of a distinguished audience of scientific, cultural, and diplomatic figures, Brayan Yebga Miyogog, a former student of the African Institute of Computer Science in Cameroon (IAI-Cameroon) / Paul Biya Centre of Technological Excellence, solemnly received the ‘African Student Excellence Prize’ (PEEA) from the association of the same name, led by Géraude Akakpo, on 27 June 2026 in Paris, France. This prestigious honor rewards his resilience, academic excellence, and ethical commitment to impactful leadership representing Africa on the global stage.

This international recognition highlights the intrinsic value of the young graduate, who was trained in software engineering at IAI-Cameroon. The institute is managed by resident representative Armand Claude Abanda, who also holds the UNESCO Chair in Central Africa for ICT Access.

By winning this Silver Prize, which celebrates resilience, commitment, and academic excellence among students from the African diaspora and the continent, IAI-Cameroon’s sustained expertise is also recognized. The happy awardee acknowledged that it is thanks to the qualities—rigor, discipline, attention to detail, perseverance—acquired at the Paul Biya Centre of Technological Excellence that he is a role model today. ‘On the day, I will wear IAI’s colors. In my speech and exchanges, I will remind everyone where I come from and the quality of the training I received here. It is a pride to represent the school before this audience,’ said the young laureate. This is a source of great pride for IAI and its top management, who spare no effort to place well-trained, competent young people into the job market.

It is also worth noting that a few weeks earlier, the #AgriGuardian platform, of which Brayan Yebga Miyogog is one of the lead proponents, won the ‘TechforTech Public Prize’ at the Petit Poucet 2026 competition.

For the record, Mr. Miyogog is a trainer and junior architect in systems, networks, and cybersecurity based in Montpellier, France. This digital virtuoso combines advanced skills in computer science, digital security, and artificial intelligence.
