Côte d’Ivoire: hydrocarbon company marks 60 years with bold future plans
In a milestone celebration held at its Vridi industrial hub headquarters in Abidjan, Corlay Côte d’Ivoire—formerly Texaco—officially inaugurated its 60th anniversary festivities on May 6, 2026. The year-long event centers on heritage, innovation, and commitment, aiming to solidify the company’s standing as a key player in Ivory Coast’s energy sector and beyond.
The commemorative launch brought together partners, employees, and institutional guests, where Alassane Ouattara, the company’s Managing Director, reflected on six decades of growth. He emphasized the group’s resolve to modernize and adapt to evolving energy challenges. The 2026-2030 strategic roadmap prioritizes governance enhancement, human capital development, accelerated digital transformation, and sustainable value-driven growth.
« These six decades embody trust, resilience, and dedication to our clients, partners, and team. Our goal is to carry this momentum forward with responsibility and determination to shape the Corlay of tomorrow, » Ouattara stated.
Throughout the year, a series of initiatives will unfold, including promotional campaigns, community engagement, and social projects designed to deepen the brand’s connection with customers and partners.
Mohamed Touré, a key executive, highlighted the company’s adaptability in a shifting energy landscape. He underscored Corlay’s strategic foothold in industrial, maritime, and lubricant sectors while reaffirming plans to expand nationally. After six decades, the company operates over 60 service stations across Ivory Coast, produces 16,000 tons of lubricants annually, and maintains a strong local and regional market presence.
The anniversary celebrations aim to showcase a legacy of growth and innovation while charting a course for future expansion. Corlay is particularly focused on strengthening its leadership in maritime refueling, high-value lubricants, and advanced energy solutions—critical sectors as West Africa’s energy demands evolve.
