Chad’s supreme court schedules Succès Masra case for may 2026 hearing
A landmark legal proceeding in the Succès Masra case has been formally scheduled. The Judicial Chamber of Chad’s Supreme Court has confirmed that the matter will be heard during an open session of the Second Penal Division on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
The official notice, issued in N’Djamena on May 19, 2026, and signed by the division’s president, Mr. Samir Adam Annour, outlines case number 092/25. The dispute centers on Succès Masra and co-defendants from Mandakao, represented by a defense team led by prominent attorney Me Kadjilem-baye Francis. The prosecution is being handled by the Public Ministry and the Chadian State, represented by the State Legal Agency (AJE).
The hearing will focus on a cassation appeal against Criminal Ruling No. 018/25, which was delivered by the N’Djamena Court of Appeal on August 9, 2025. The case will be presented by Magistrate Amadou Oumarou.
