Burundi reaffirms unwavering backing for Morocco’s Sahara sovereignty
The Republic of Burundi has once again affirmed its steadfast and unwavering commitment to Morocco’s territorial integrity and its full sovereignty across all its lands, specifically encompassing the Sahara region.
This definitive stance was formally communicated in a joint statement issued following comprehensive discussions. The talks brought together Édouard Bizimana, Burundi’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Development Cooperation, and his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates.
