Aminata touré criticises ousmane sonko, calls his premiership a failure

During a press briefing, the general supervisor of the Diomaye Président coalition, Aminata Touré, addressed the dismissal of former Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.

Aminata Touré stated that Sonko’s time at the head of government was marked by failure, leading to his removal. She remarked sarcastically, “Niou fal la Premier ministre djokh la ay dossiers meuno ci touss niou dakeu la,” implying that he was appointed as premier but failed to handle the dossiers and instead wasted time.

In her statement, Touré emphasised that true courage lies in solving the problems of the Senegalese people by leveraging one’s skills, strategies, and networks, rather than using all prerogatives for two years without delivering solutions to the difficulties faced by citizens.
