Algeria’s prime minister kicks off official visit to Chad

The Prime Minister of Algeria, Sifi Ghrieb, has commenced an official visit to the Republic of Chad, mandated by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. This mission underscores the deepening ties of brotherhood and mutual cooperation between the two nations.

The delegation accompanying the Prime Minister includes key figures such as the Minister of State for Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mourad Adjal, and the Director-General of the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation and Solidarity Development, Abed Hallouz. Representatives from national enterprises specializing in hydrocarbons, energy, and electricity also form part of the entourage.

Upon landing at the international airport of N’Djamena, the Algerian Prime Minister was greeted by his Chadian counterpart, Allamaye Halina, alongside several members of the Chadian government and high-ranking officials. As part of this visit, the Algerian Prime Minister, alongside his Chadian counterpart, inaugurated the groundbreaking ceremony for a new solidarity-driven power plant in the Farcha industrial zone of N’Djamena. This project, with a capacity of 40 megawatts, will be executed by Sonelgaz International as a gift from the Algerian government to Chad. It aligns with President Tebboune’s directives to support sustainable development in African nations while fostering solidarity and cooperation.

The initiative is a testament to Algeria’s unwavering dedication to contributing to the economic and social advancement of its African partners through impactful, structured projects.
