In a message posted on platform X (formerly Twitter) on the evening of Thursday, June 11, 2026, Richard Duke Buchan III, the US Ambassador to Rabat, conveyed his “honor to have hosted elected representatives from Morocco’s Southern Provinces during the celebration of the 250th anniversary of United States independence. We express our appreciation to our collaborators from Laâyoune and Dakhla for their participation and their dedication to fostering peace and prosperity in this vital region, reflecting strong governance in Africa.”
