Milestone moment. Morocco’s flagship carrier, Royal air Maroc (RAM), has inaugurated a groundbreaking direct route connecting Casablanca to los angeles. This new service represents a historic achievement as the first ever non-stop flight linking Africa with the Pacific coast of the United States.
The inaugural flight departed from Mohammed V International Airport at 04:00, embarking on a seamless 12-hour journey to its destination.
This landmark launch coincides with the 250th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Morocco and the United States, as well as the kickoff of the 2026 FIFA World Cup where Morocco’s national team, the Atlas Lions, will compete.

The service will operate three times per week using state-of-the-art wide-body aircraft on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Departures from Casablanca are scheduled for 04:00 (arriving at 08:20 local time), while return flights from los angeles depart at 10:20, landing the following day at 05:25 in Casablanca.
This strategic expansion aligns with the national carrier’s development plan, agreed upon with the government in July 2023. Its objective is to solidify Casablanca’s position as a premier aviation hub connecting Africa, Europe, and the Americas, while catering to surging demand from the diaspora, tourists, business travelers, and football fans.
With this launch, RAM strengthens its footprint in North America, complementing existing direct routes to New York, Washington, Miami, Montréal, and Toronto.
