Niger severs ties with International Criminal Court
Niger, a member of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), has formally withdrawn from the International Criminal Court (ICC), accusing The Hague-based tribunal of enforcing selective justice. The West African nation submitted a letter to the United Nations on Monday, initiating the process to exit the Rome Statute, the ICC’s founding treaty.
