Maurice Kamto urges resurgence, resilience, and hope amid political challenges

In a continuation of his weekly tradition, which has spanned over a year, the prominent opposition leader, Maurice Kamto, presented a fundamental thought to the public this Monday. His message centered on fostering resilience and maintaining hope in the face of ongoing political adversity in Cameroon.

Kamto articulated a stark choice for the nation: « It only remains for us to choose between killing the future and submitting forever, or to stand on the only leg we have left, the only arm that still moves, the only open eye that refuses to close, because it perceives the future where others see only nothingness. I will not lose my bet on the triumph of reason, I will not lose it. Because behind the upheavals, the primary gregarious impulses, behind unreason and hatreds, it is the light of conscience that illuminates the march of peoples. This is what will save Cameroon. This is what will uplift Africa ».

The leader of the Mouvement pour la Renaissance du Cameroun emphasized that the nation’s recovery is not merely a domestic concern but serves as a vital symbol and driving force for a broader African renaissance.
