Jordan supports Morocco after thwarted terror plots exposed

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has strongly condemned the terrorist conspiracies foiled in Morocco, reaffirming its unwavering solidarity with Rabat in safeguarding national security and stability.

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement on Monday, July 6, denouncing threats aimed at destabilizing public order and endangering lives and property across the Kingdom.

Speaking on behalf of the ministry, Ambassador Fouad Majali emphasized Jordan’s complete backing for Morocco’s sovereign measures to protect its citizens and uphold peace. The timing of this declaration follows the Moroccan authorities’ announcement of the dismantling of highly dangerous terror plots at an advanced stage of execution.

Security forces, acting on precise intelligence from the General Directorate for National Security, conducted coordinated operations across multiple cities, detaining radicalized individuals linked to the schemes. Investigations reveal that these suspects were receiving logistical and operational support from an offshoot of Daech operating in the Sahel region.
