Historic Chellah hosts US independence celebration with Morocco

For the first time, the US embassy in Rabat marked the 250th anniversary of American independence at the ancient Chellah site, spotlighting over two centuries of diplomatic ties between Washington and the kingdom. On Tuesday evening, the millennia-old ruins of Chellah provided a symbolic setting for the annual US National Day reception.
