Gabon pushes for stronger intelligence sharing at un police summit
Gabon reaffirmed its commitment to international security cooperation during the fifth United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit (UNCOPS), held July 8-9 in New York. Representing the country, Interior, Security and Decentralization Minister Adrien Nguema Mba, accompanied by National Police Commander General Serge Hervé Ngoma, underscored the urgent need for real-time intelligence sharing and joint data collection to combat evolving transnational threats. These threats—ranging from organized crime to terrorism and cross-border criminal networks—demand collective action that transcends national borders.
