Bilateral ties between Chad and Libya are strengthening through expanded economic and consular collaboration, with plans for a new direct air connection between N’Djamena and Benghazi.
During a meeting in Benghazi on July 13, 2026, Libya’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdelhadi Al-Houij, welcomed Chad’s Consul General, Mr. Hassan Ahmat Daissire, alongside consular attaché Mr. Aboubakar Sidick Mahamat Abagana. The discussions centered on deepening bilateral cooperation across consular services, trade, transport, and communication sectors. A proposed direct flight route between N’Djamena and Benghazi emerged as a key initiative to streamline mobility and foster stronger exchanges.
