These threats thrive due to permissive environments that allow terrorists to operate across land, air, maritime, and digital domains. The origins and motivations behind these enablers are no mystery: our adversaries continue to receive support from unexpected quarters, cloaked under the guise of assistance.

Cameroon on the frontline of multiple threats

The Cameroonian people face the harsh reality of this global turbulence firsthand. The nation remains a primary target, straining its resources to counter threats from three distinct fronts:

• Eastern borders: Containing spillover from regional instability while preventing cross-border extremist infiltration.
• Northern regions: Thwarting transnational terrorism and violent extremism that threatens national cohesion.
• Western regions: Addressing separatist movements seeking to destabilize the country from within.

The government has implemented robust preventive and containment strategies, yielding measurable success. However, sporadic violence persists in certain areas, underscoring the need for sustained effort and collective action.
