Cameroon private sector seeks influence over 2027 budget decisions
The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts of Cameroon (Ccima) convened private sector representatives on 24 June 2026 to draft proposals for the 2027 finance bill.
This consultation is designed to collect, analyse and harmonise the concerns of economic operators ahead of upcoming discussions with the General Directorate of Taxes. At the core of the talks: improving the national tax system, boosting business competitiveness and enhancing the attractiveness of the business climate. Approximately twenty recommendations emerged from the sessions.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen public-private dialogue and promote a tax framework better suited to the realities of Cameroon’s economy.
