Cameroon justice minister attends funeral ceremony for supreme court head Alexis Dipanda Mouelle
On Thursday, 25 June 2026, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals Laurent Esso was present at the morgue of the Yaoundé General Hospital.
Acting as the official representative of President Paul Biya, the Minister of Justice attended the body lifting ceremony for Alexis Dipanda Mouelle, the President of the Supreme Court of Cameroon.
Minister Laurent Esso was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Justice, also named Laurent Esso.
Several high-ranking figures attended the ceremony. Among those present at the Yaoundé General Hospital morgue were Prime Minister and Head of Government Joseph Dion Ngute, as well as Jean Nkuete, Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM).
