The Cameroon Ministry of Transport is advancing efforts to modernize and secure its administrative documents. Transport Minister Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè recently met with key officials to explore innovative technologies that could prevent forgery and enhance document integrity.
During the June 30 meeting, he received Oyono Bika Pierre, Director General of the National Printing Office, and Léonie Kwekam, CEO of Impact Palmarès R&D. The discussions centered on implementing advanced security solutions for official documents and transport permits.
The technology presented by Impact Palmarès R&D uses multiple innovative approaches to make official documents harder to counterfeit while simplifying authentication processes. Key areas of focus included securing transport permits, enhancing watermarking on official letterheads, and improving the traceability of administrative documents to optimize non-tax revenue collection.
The Minister acknowledged the potential of these solutions but emphasized the need for thorough technical, legal, administrative, and financial evaluations before implementation. The goal is to build trust in official documents by ensuring their reliability and security.
