Burkina Faso: Ibrahim Traore Accused of Controlling a Digital Militia Targeting Journalists
Ibrahim Traore, the president of Burkina Faso, has been accused of controlling a digital militia that targets journalists and critics.
A report by the French news agency AFP alleges that the digital militia is used to silence opposition voices and dissenting opinions in the country.
The allegations come as Burkina Faso continues to face challenges related to press freedom and human rights.
"The situation in Burkina Faso is very worrying," said Aminata Touré, the president of the International Press Institute.
